New Hall
This June, after several years of waiting we finally received the building
warrant to start work on our new hall in Cross Street, Darvel.
This hall will be used as a drop in center, open to all and also for the
various courses we would like to run as a Church, such as the popular
Alpha Course.
If you are in Darvel you can see the ongoing work, we are there most
days, weather permitting! Feel free to come and ask us anything you
would like to know about the hall and what we intend to do with it.
Here are a few pictures of the hall in various stages up to a few weeks ago.
27th July 2006, roof finally down!
Irene and Julia, women with hammers!
2nd Aug, floor taken up ready for concrete.
16th Aug, the foundations for the
kitchen, toilets and upper floor are laid.
27th Sept, the internal walls nearly up

These were taken on the 23rd January 2007, the roof
is taking shape and the brickwork you can see will be
the stairwell and upper hall.
There has been holdups due to the wild weather
we've been having but in the next few weeks the
dormer windows at the rear of the hall should be
completed and we will be ready to have the roof slated.
13th March 2007 Update
Work came to a halt for a short time as Muir developed a few health problems and spent time in hospital on two occasions. It was not a serious problem and with rest and prayer he is now getting back to full health.
The hall is moving on and the windows are now in place in the rear dormers and partitions for the rooms are in place. Apologies for not updating sooner, more pics to follow.

We are now working on the front of the
1st floor so we can install the Velux
windows and then have the roof
slated, which will be a cause for some
celebration!
